The Shimmering River spans alongside the path of the [[Palace of Bahamut]], running along the [[Mount Celestia|Mount]] from [[Solania]] to [[Lunia]] and finally spilling out in the [[Bay of Light]]. The waters glitter a light silver, reminiscent of the scales of [[Bahamut]] himself; in fact, some followers of Bahamut believe the waters to have been blessed by Bahamut, with some going so far as to say the glittering of the water comes from fragments of Bahamut's scales shed into the river. As a result, along the shores of the Shimmering River can be found many small villages faithful to the Draco-Paladin (largely draconic or reptilian peoples) upon every layer through which it runs.
