	Keepers are quite strong, with equivalent of a minimum Strength of 18, and have the ability to alter their bodies so as to form weapons out of their own hands. Forming hard, sword-like edges or concentrating a knot of muscle and flesh around their fists so as to strike as a mace are the most common such weapons formed, but any sort of medium-sized weapon can be manifested from their arms.

	The body of a keeper is in essence a fleshy sack of poison. Keepers can spit a small amount of this poison up to 20 feet away, causing nausea and nerve spasms giving the equivalent of a ''slow'' effect on a successful strike. When necessary, they can instead discorporate their own forms, dissolving into a puddle of this poisonous substance and leaving only their clothing and glasses behind in the gelatinous muck. This discorporation also happens automatically should one of their number succumb to any sort of mind-affecting spell, to which they have a +4 bonus to saving throws as it is.

==Appearance==

Keepers appear as bald male humans or half-elves at first glance (more so the latter, thanks to their slightly-pointed ears), though their skin certainly appears off; not only is the color strange, a light shade of grey, but it appears oddly shiny as well. With further investigation, though, their non-human characteristics become more obvious. They move as if their joints are misplaced, bending in strange places.

These creatures normally dress in dark clothing, their hands and heads the only things exposed, with dark-lenses spectacles over their eyes. If seen without these, however, they appear even odder; no toenails, fingernails, musculature, or body hair whatsoever. Even further, under their spectacles are nothing but blank flesh, without even the appearance of a skin-covered socket.
