	The greatest boon of the chososion is its intangibility. This allows it to not merely ignore most attacks made against it (its high MR, AC, and resistance to weapons all coming from this trait), but also the ill effects of all the Inner Planes. From the heat of [[Elemental Plane of Fire\|Fire]] to the fumes of [[Paraelemental Plane of Magma\|Magma]] to the life-draining forces of the [[Negative Energy Plane]], little seems to impede the chososion's journeys. However, they are entirely unable to leave the Inner Planes by any means, passing through vortices, portals, or other methods of transit beyond the Ethereal as if they weren't there.

	As mentioned, however, there is one exception to the intangibility of the chososion; its pseudopods, which though vulnerable to others, allow it to defend itself quite readily. The pads being covered with razor-sharp hooks, these tentacle-like limbs can cause a good deal of harm even through nothing but mere physical contact. The real danger, however, comes from the creature's poison, which it secretes through these hooks. Known as "discorporation poison", an unlucky berk that gets a bit of this in his body more likely than not doesn't have much longer.

	The basic symptoms resemble any number of paralytics, with those subjected to its effects frozen in place within 1d6 rounds upon a failed saving throw vs. poison. Upon the onset of the paralysis, a second save vs. death must be made. If this save passes, the victim is merely paralyzed for a further 3d6 rounds. If it is failed, however, the victim disappears immediately, as if hit by a ''disintegrate'' spell. Some believe this is the utter destruction of the victim, thus the name. Others, however, believe this instead somehow brings the victim to the home realm of the chososion, for whatever purpose. Either way, however, none have ever been known to recover (or return as the case may be) from such an effect.

Chososion appear as odd, otherworldly rays, covered in fins which constantly undulate, seemingly composed of these winglike flaps of flesh. Some say that the chososion vanishes should the motion of these fins cease, possible evidence for the Vivan theory of their origin.

Though nearly fully intangible to this realm, and thus fairly well defended from most forms of attack, they do have one solid portion; the long, prehensile pseudopods that protrude out their maw. These tendrils are fully solid, the better to grasp its foes and defend itself, but this works both ways; compared to the body, the pseudopods are an easy target for those needing to defend themselves. However, the chososion does have the ability to regrow these manipulators if harmed, sometimes even readying replacements in advance if it faces possible harm; even under this situation, however, the chososion never has more than two pseudopods coming from its mouth at a time.
