Some entries will make references to a "dose" of a given component. In such a case, casting a spell with that component will require one dose per spell level.<br />

No spell may use more than one alternate component at a time to enhance it; any such attempt has all components consumed, but only one (chosen randomly) actually take effect. Further, spells cast with metamagic cannot be further enhanced through alternate spell components, though substitute components may still be used.</div>Idran
